Bullying is a form of harassment, verbal and physical leading to self-doubt, depression and suicide if it continues.
We cant stop bullying but we as educators and teachers can prevent it from happening, thats why its very important to know and monitor what our students are going through and take care of their feelings and psychological status since they spend most of the time in schools.
Bullying is a chronic problem especially among students so prevention could involve school leaders, victims of bullying and other students,
- The teachers make the action and talk to all students about bullying, Why it is wrong? And what effects it has on victims?.
- Also teachers can give victims ideas on how to stand for themselves to bullying.
- Create a bullying prevention curriculum that teachers are required to use to educate all students about bullying and its examples and effects.
- Let students think about their own actions
- Educate them from real life experiences and how it affects negatively.
Interesting subjects to be mentioned in your blog, I am impressed by your choosing and how you set the teacher as main behavior modification in students' lives. Also how you encourage deep thinking when you say that teacher must let them thin about what they are doing (bullying)...I like the meaningful picture which shows bullying clearly.
