From my experience in Ihsan International Online school, I can assure to you that engaging online can be done very easy and more thanin physical schools especially that your tools are widely open , videos , online labs , shared whiteboard...Even it requires more time to prepare course content but you can minimize the session time since you will send materials and no need for writing time of it.Take 20 mins from a session more than enough for preperation .
